Join NSSE/Renew Membership

To join: Becoming a member of NSSE allows you to receive our annual two-volume yearbook, vote in elections for the Board of Directors of the Society, and enjoy access to pdfs of archived yearbook chapters, four electronic Blackwell journals (Educational Theory, Curriculum Inquiry, British Journal of Educational Technology, and British Journal of Educational Studies) and other restricted sections of the website. The cost of membership is $40 for a regular membership; $35 for graduate students and retirees; and $45 for members outside the United States.

To join, either click on the appropriate button for your type of membership to pay by credit card or print the appropriate application and mail it with a check to:

To renew: If you are already a member of NSSE, you need to use the email address on file in our database to access your account. If you do not remember which email address NSSE has, please contact Debbie Miretzky at dmiret1@uic.edu

If you have already entered credit card information and the card is current, you do not need to do anything to renew for the upcoming calendar year. You will receive an email reminder at the beginning of December that will confirm your renewal and allow you to opt out of renewal if you desire. Your card will not be charged until January 1 of the upcoming calendar year for that calendar year (in other words, if you pay online for 2006 membership on December 2, 2005, your card will not be charged until January 1, 2006).

You may also update your information and indicate that you are sending a check for your renewal by selecting the “send check by mail” payment option.

Your membership is good for the calendar year (i.e., 1/1/04-1/1/05).
